Washington Nationals Prospects 2 – 4 New York Mets Prospects
Yohandy Morales, ranked 4th in the Washington Nationals system, and Cristhian Vaquero, ranked 9th, both appeared for the Nationals. Morales started at first base batting 4th, while Vaquero entered the game in the 5th inning, taking over right field. Morales hit a single in the 4th and scored a run while Vaquero struck out in both plate appearances.
Both later played in the Nationals and Mets game. Morales replaced Lane Tomas in the 7th inning and played third base. He was hitless with a strikeout but walked and scored a run. Vaquero replaced Victor Robles as a pinch runner, scoring a run in the 8th inning, and doubled in his only plate appearance in the 9th inning.
Miami Marlins Prospects 3 – 2 St. Louis Cardinals Prospects
Yiddi Cappe went 2-2 with two singles and a stolen base. Despite Victor Mesa Jr’s absence due to injury, he is expected to be ready by the start of the season.
Cesar Prieto continued his impressive play for the Cardinals, batting .391 coming into the game. He hit a triple to right field in the 3rd inning.
