Yandy Díaz goes yard in Tampa’s tie with Detroit. (+Spring Training Report)

Yandy Díaz went yard for the fourth time on the spring and also scored a run to do his part in Tampa Bay’s 3-3 tie with the Detroit Tigers. The defending AL batting champion closed the preseason with a .317 and seven runs batted in.

Adrián Morejón tossed 1⅓ innings in which he fanned four of the five batters he faced in the Padres’ 7-6 loss to Seattle. The left-hander from Mayabeque, Cuba gave up a hit but no runs to watch his spring ERA descend to 6.00 heading into the season. The hurler will more than likely be a long reliever for the Padres this campaign.

Zach Neto collected a hit, a triple in four trips to the plate and scored a run in the Angels’ 4-3 win over their cross-town rival Dodgers. The Cuban- American shortstop has had a stellar spring hitting a solid .310 heading into the regular season.
