Yandy Díaz and Randy Arozarena combined for four hits, three runs batted in and two runs scored to lead the Tampa Bay Rays to a 8-2 victory over the Bluejays. The two Cubans who figure to be key components to the Floridan team’s offense are hitting .566 and .250 respectively.

Nick Castellanos collected his first RBI of the season via a ninth inning single in his four trips to the plate, but Philly still fell to Atlanta 9-3. The Cuban- American slugger is now hitting .250 on the young season.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr went yard for the second time on the campaign, scored a run and knocked in another to do his part in Arizona’s 7-3 victory over Colorado. The outfielder from Sancti Spíritus, Cuba has now driven in six runs in his first two games of the season.
