Luis Robert homers twice in Sox loss. (+MLB Report)

Luis Robert had his best night of the young season going in the first and third innings and drove in four runs, but his best efforts couldn’t save the White Sox in their 7-6 loss to Detroit. The outfielder also scored twice and is now hitting .500 to start the campaign.

Randy Arozarena deposited his first ball of the season in the seats to aid Tampa in their 5-1 win over the Jays. The diminutive but robust outfielder also scored twice on the evening and stole two bases to help the cause.

Adolis García swatted a third inning two-run jack and knocked in another run via and eighth inning sacrifice fly to do his part in Texas’ 11-2 thrashing of the Cubs. The native of Ciego de Ávila, Cuba is slugging a robust .818 after three games.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr continues to swing a hot bat. The youngest of the Gurriel clan went 2-for-4 last night with a double and two RBIs in Arizona’s 9-5 loss to the Rockies. The slugger from Sancti Spíritus, Cuba is second in MLB with nine runs batted in after three games.
