Miguel Romero is masterful in a Querétaro loss. (+Mexican League Report)

Miguel Romero tossed six innings of five-hit, one-run ball in his first start of the season for Querétaro. Although the right-hander from Guantánamo, Cuba was masterful the bullpen could not hold the lead and the Conspiradores fell to Quintana Roo. The hurler also fanned one to leave a 0.00 ERA after his first start.

Yunesky Maya also looked very impressive in first start of the season. The Cuban hurler threw five innings where he only allowed a hit, but his offense could manufacture any runs and Campeche fell to Tabasco 1-0. In his three seasons in the LMB Maya sports a 4.83 earned run average.

Yadiel Hernández homered in two trips to the plate, drove in three runs and also scored on two occasions. The talented outfielder led Dos Laredos’ offense in its 13-6 win. Hernández now hits .333 on the young campaign.
