Lourdes Gurriel Jr swatted his fifth longball of the season and drove in two runs to do his part in Arizona’s 12-11 win over the Cubs. The outfielder leads all Cubans in runs batted in and is second in the majors in that statistical category.

Raisel Iglesias recorded the final out of the Braves’ 6-2 victory over Houston to record his fourth save of the season. The right-hander from the Isle of Youth saw his ERA descend to 3.38 on the season and is now six saves from 200 for his career.

Although the Redsox’s dropped a 10-7 decision to Cleveland, Tristón Casas went yard for a third straight day. The slugger from South Florida also knocked in and scored on an occasion to raise his average to .258 on the campaign. Casas has now homered four times in his last seven games.

Andy Pagés made his debut in the majors and collected his first MLB hit on the first pitch he saw in the big leagues. The outfielder also scored a run on the night and the Dodgers downed the Nationals 6-2. After his first game as a major leaguer the slugger is hitting .250.
