Yadir Drake swatted a homerun and drove in two runs, while also scoring a run to lead Yucatán to a 7-2 win over Tabasco. The “Black Panther ” as he is known by the Cuban faithful knocked in his first two runs of the season.
Leonys Martín went yard for the second game in a row and the third time on the season in Querétaro’s 14-9 win over Oaxaca. The outfielder also drove in three runs to watch his average rise to .208 on the campaign. Roel Santos also got in the act a hit in four trips to the plate and scored twice to watch his average jump to a robust .409.
Peter O’Brien came back from a two-game suspension with a run-scoring double in the first inning to do his part in Puebla’s 8-2 win over Campeche. The Cuban-American outfielder knocked in his run of the season and now hits .313.
