Yariel Rodríguez is electric, but doesn’t factor in the decision for Toronto. (+MLB Report)

Though he did not factor in to the decision, Yariel Rodríguez was electric once again with his repertoire. The righty tossed four innings of three-hit, one-run ball where he fanned seven in his second big league start.

The hurler from Camagüey, Cuba was inexplicably taken out after the fourth stanza in Toronto’s 5-1 victory over San Diego. Rodriguez has now struck out 13 in 7 ⅔ innings of work and sports a miniscule 2.35 earned run average.

Tristón Casas went yard for the sixth time on the season, drove in a run and knocked in a run to do his part in Boston’s 8-1 win over Pittsburgh. The Cuban-American slugger is now hitting .244 and has gone downtown four times in the last seven games.

Adolis García collected a hit, a run-scoring double in four trips to the plate, but Texas fell to Atlanta 8-3. The outfielder from Ciego de Ávila, Cuba knocked in two runs in total on the evening and now has 20 RBIs on the season.
