Zach Neto is the only bright spot in Angels’ loss to the Pirates. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Zach Neto went yard for the third time on the campaign, scored a run and drove in the game’s only run on the night in the Angels’ 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Pirates. Neto upped his average to .239 and has driven in 11 runs on the season. After a slow start to the year the infielder is batting .308 over his last 15 games.

Nick Castellanos collected two hits in as many at-bats, while also driving in a run via a run-scoring double in the fifth inning to do his part in the Phillies 6-1 win over the Giants. The Cuban-American outfielder is no seven doubles short of 350 for his career.

Yandy Díaz swatted a hit in five trips to the plate and plated a run with a third inning forceout to contribute to Tampa’s 8-2 triumph over the White Sox. The year long slump continues for the American League Batting Champion, Díaz now hits a paltry .234 on the season.
