In the American Association Yoelqui Céspedes continues to struggle. In last night’s game the outfielder went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts with a run scored. On the season the ex-White Sox prospect is hitless (0-for-12) on the campaign with six strikeouts with Fargo-Moorehead.
The once #1 signing of the 2020 international signing and brother Yoenis Céspedes continues to struggle with his contact problems. Unless things change he could be headed to his second release of the year. The Redhawks dropped a 7-4 decision to the Lincoln on the day.
Laz Rivera connected on three hits in four trips to the plate and scored on an occasion to do his part in Ottawa’s 5-4 win over New England in the Frontier League. After a bad first day of the season the also ex-White Sox prospect four hits over that last two days and hits .333 on the season.
