Daysbel Hernández made his season debut tossing an inning in relief in Atlanta’s 6-5 loss to Padres in the first game of the doubleheader. The right-hander became the 25th Cuban to play in MLB this season and has a lifetime 5.79 earned run average in his career.
In the second game of the twin billing Raisel Iglesias pitched a scoreless inning in the Braves 3-0 blanking of San Diego to notch his 11th save of the season. The hurler saw his ERA drop to 2.45 on the campaign.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr went yard for the sixth time on the season and drove in a run, but Arizona dropped a 6-4 decision to the Dodgers. The outfielder is hitting .236 on the season and is now two homeruns short of 100 for his career.
Zach Neto launched his six homer of the season, drove in a run and scored on two occasions to lead the Angels to 9-7 win over the Astros. The Cuban- American infielder is hitting a robust .348 in his last seven games.
