Yoanner Negrín tossed seven innings of one-hit, one-run ball to propel Yucatán to a 2-1 win over Saltillo. With his win not only did Negrín reach five victories on the season, but also notched his 80th win in the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol. The right-hander also saw his ERA fall to 2.80 on the campaign.
Yadiel Hernández swatted three hits and went yard sixth time on the campaign, while also driving in two in Dos Laredos 2-1 loss to the Guerreros de Oaxaca. The native of Matanzas, Cuba watched his average rise to a solid .322 on the season.
Greg Veliz notched his second victory of the campaign after pitching a scoreless inning in which he fanned a batter in Aguascalientes 3-2 win over Campeche. The right-hander’s earned run average descended to 8.00 on the season.
