Guillermo Heredia knocks in three during SSG’s victory over Kiwoom. (+Asian League)

Guillermo Heredia collected two hits in five trips to the plate, one of his hit being a two-run first inning homerun in SSG’s 6-2 win over Kiwoom. The outfielder swatted his eighth longball of the season and drove in three runs in total on the day. Heredia is now hitting .383 on the season leaving second in the KBO in that statistical category.

Raidel Martínez notched his seventeenth save of the season after striking out one of the three batters he faced in an in the 12th inning  of the Chunichi Dragons’ 2-1 extra-innings victory over the Orix Buffaloes at the Kyocera Osaka Dome.

The right-hander from Pinar del Río, Cuba picked up his fourth save in as many attempts. The hurler lowered his ERA to 0.72 and increased his lead in saves in the Central League.
