Juan Carlos Negret of the Dorados de Chihuahua had a perfect day at the plate collecting two hits in as many at-bats, including an 11th inning pinch-hit two-run homer to walk it off by a 6-5 count against the Leones de Yucatán. For the outfielder it was his first longball of the season.
Alejandro Rivero also did his part against the Leones by swatting a first inning two-run single. The infielder-outfielder is now hitting a solid .308 on the season and been a key bat for the expansion team this campaign.
Yadiel Hernández collected two hits in five trips to the plate, drove in two runs and scored on an occasion to be the catalyst of Dos Laredos 7-0 blanking of Veracruz. The slugger from Matanzas, Cuba watched his average rise to .333 and augmented his RBI total to 41 on the season.
