Luis Avilés Jr helped his teammate and countrymen’s cause with a homerun, two runs batted in and three runs scored. The infielder who has been a big pickup for the Piratas has now knocked in 30 runs on the campaign.
Peter O’Brien swatted his 10th longball of the season, drove in two runs and scored on an occasion to do his part in Puebla’s 9-2 win over León. The Cuban-American slugger now sports an impressive .935 OPS to go along with 25 runs batted in on the season.
