Daysbel Hernández notches in first win of the season for Atlanta. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Daysbel Hernández won the second game of his career in the majors after pitching a scoreless eighth inning in which he retired two of the five batters he faced via the strikeout. The native of Pinar del Río, Cuba has also not allowed a run in 3.2 innings on the season in relief.

Aroldis Chapman notched his 13th hold of the campaign after hurling a scoreless inning during the Pirates’ 4-1 victory over the Reds. The left-hander has 1.36 earned run average over his last seven games. Chapman has a sterling 15.2 S09 on the campaign.

Ryan Fernández tossed two scoreless innings in relief where he fanned  two batters and did not allow a run to do his part St. Louis’ 7-6 win over Miami. The Cuban-American righty saw his ERA descend to 2.51 on the season and has struck out 34 in 30.2 innings pitched.

Zach Neto went yard for the 10th time of the campaign, knocked in a run and drove in a run during the Angels’ 5-3 win over the Brewers. The Cuban-American shortstop has now driven in 31 runs on the season and has homered three times of his last seven games.
