Adeiny Hechavarría goes yard in an Olmecas win. (+Mexican League Report)

Adeiny Hechavarría went yard for the fifth time on the season, drove in two runs and scored three times to do his part in Tabasco’s 7-5 win over Quintana Roo. The native from Santiago de Cuba is now hitting a solid .272 and has knocked in 18 runs on the season.

Yoan López tossed a scoreless inning in relief during which he struck out a batter. The right-hander saw his ERA descend to a miniscule 1.34 in Unión Laguna’s 4-0 shutout of Aguascalientes. The hurler has been an important part of last year’s Zona Norte champions’ bullpen this campaign.

Henry Urrutia collected three hits in five trips to the plate and scored twice, but his best efforts could not save León from dropping a 12-10 decision to Oaxaca. The talented veteran is having a typical Urrutia season at the plate hitting .326. The 2022 LMB batting champion was a prized acquisition for León in their quest for a playoff spot.
