Yadir Drake had a perfect game at the plate in the second game of a twin billing collecting three hits in three trips to the plate, while also knocking in three runs in a Yucatán victory over Puebla in a split of a doubleheader. The slugger went yard for his ninth time on the season in the first inning, a two-run shot and now hits a robust .329 on the season.
In the first game of the doubleheader Odrisamer Despaigne tossed seven innings of five-hit, two-run ball, but did not factor in the decision in Yucatán’s 3-2 loss to Puebla. The right-hander from Havana saw his ERA descend to 3.09 on the campaign.
Leonys Martín went yard for the 23rd time on the campaign to account for the only run for Querétaro in their 7-1 loss to México City. The slugger from Villa Clara, Cuba is second in the LMB in homeruns, only Art Charles with 25 has hit more longballs on the season.
