Guillermo García stands out in the Frontier League.

The Québec Capitales faced the Trois-Rivières Aigles and fell 8-4, but Guillermo García starred with the bat for the quebecian squad. García went 3-for-3 in the game where he had three hits and drove in two runs for his team’s cause.

However, it was not enough to prevent a loss. The Cuban hit a single in the top of the sixth inning to drive in his team’s second run. Then in the eighth inning he hit a sacrifice fly to drive another and also delivered his fourth double of the season.

His average on the season is .397, he also sports an on-base percentage of .459 and his SLG of (.603). He has also hit three longballs and driven in 22 runs on the campaign for the Capitales, while amassing 34 total bases.

The Capitales are in second place in the Eastern division with a record of 32 wins and 19 losses, first place is occupied by the New York Boulders with 31-17 and behind the Quebec is the Ottawa Titans with 30-18. It is the closest division in the league and could be a fun finish to watch.

García has also seen action in the Nippon League with the Chunichi Dragons and has been a part of the Cuban National Team in various international tournaments with the Sub 23 and big teams.
