Roenis Elías tossed seven innings of one-run,six-hit ball in SSG’S 4-1 win over the KT Wiz. The left-hander from Guantánamo, Cuba also fanned six and saw his ERA descend to 4.51 on the season to go along eight quality starts.

Guillermo Heredia aided his countrymen cause with a fourth inning solo-shot, his 20th on the season to go along with 110 RBIs. The outfielder now hits .362 on the season, leaving him in first in the KBO in that statistical category. Heredia has been a force for the Landers with the bat this season.

Cuban Raidel Martínez earned his 41st save of the season after allowing a run and 2 hits in the ninth inning of the Chunichi Dragons’ 7-6 victory over the Yakult Swallows at Meiji Jingu Stadium in Tokyo. The right-hander from Pinar del Río, Cuba notched his ninth save in 9 outings and increased his lead in saves in the Central League.
