The Cuban won its second game Caribbean Baseball Cup this Thursday against the Dominican Republic 8-2. The Antillean team quickly took control of the contest at the end of the second inning when they scored four runs. Carlos de la Tejera drew a walk and Jorge Yoan Rojas reached on fielding error, before Jean Lucas Baldoquín lined a hit to center to tie the scores at one. With the bases loaded a single by Adrián Pérez and a Yuliesky Remón triple made the score 4-1.
One inning later, after two outs the Cubans managed to score another four. Carlos de la Tejera swatted a single to the left, stole second base and scored the fifth run for the Cubans thanks to a single up the middle by Jorge Yoan Rojas. The native of Pinar del Río, Cuba went to second on a throw to home plate and then also scored on another RBI single by Baldoquín. Adrián Pérez then drew a walk before Remón hit a liner to the right scoring Baldoquín and then himself ended up scoring due to an error in the play.
Remón was the player of the game going 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBIs. Jean Lucas Baldoquín was not far behind, going 3-for-4 with a double, a pair of runs scored and two RBIs. Adrián Jesús Pérez (3-2, 2R, BB) also had multihits in the game. Darian Palma also did his part going 3 for 4 with a double, two runs scored, a stolen base and an RBI.

The hurler gave up four hits, two earned runs, walked two and had three of the four strikeouts on the day by Cuban pitching. Sammy Benítez (1.0 IP, 0H, 0ER, K) and Rafael Perdomo (1.0 IP, 0H, 0ER, 2BB) took it the rest of the route without giving up any runs.
