Yasmany Tomás swatted two doubles and a three-run sixth inning homerun to lead Los Mochis in a 11-2 thrashing of the Venados de Mazatlán in the Liga ARCO Mexicana de Béisbol. The slugger from Havana has now go yard nine times and knocked in 30 runs on the campaign.
Although he had another quality start Norge Ruiz dropped his third game of the campaign after tossing six innings in which he allowed two runs via three hits and fanned four during Monterrey’s 2-1 loss to Jalisco. The right-hander saw his ERA fall to 4.50 on the campaign.

In the LIDOM César Prieto collected two hits in three at-bats and drove in two runs to do his part in the Águilas Cibaeñas 15-7 win in a shootout with the Gigantes del Cibao. The talented infielder is hitting .276 on the season and has been a key piece to the team’s resurgence this season.
