Yasmany Tomás swatted a key eighth inning grand slam to headline a Los Mochis five run outburst to secure game four via a 5-0 shutout of Culiacán. The Cuban slugger has now knocked in 14 runs in the postseason and the playoff series between the Mexican squads is now tied at two.
Roel Santos also got in on the act for the Cañeros with a double and a run scored in four trips to the plate to raise his playoff average to .214. Both teams will face off today at 9:30 PM in a pivotal Game 5 at Estadio Emilio Ibarra Armada
Although Maikel Serrano collected two hits in for at-bats and scored a run the Tren del Norte still fell to the Leones de León 2-1 in extra-innings during a decisive Game 7 in LBPN final. The slugger hit .348 during the final series. For León it was their third championship in the last six years and the LBPN ninth overall, tying them with Bóer.
