Cuban baseball continues to stand out beyond its borders, in the current day the name of Yodelkis Quevedo resonates strongly. Born in Trinidad, Sancti Spíritus Cuba, the 17-year-old has been included in the list of the top 100 High School prospects for the 2026 Draft, according to Baseball America. Currently, he plays for Mater Academy in Hialeah Gardens, Florida, and is emerging as one of the greatest promises of youth baseball in the United States.

Since his arrival in the United States, Quevedo’s talent has attracted attention. At 6’3″ and 210 pounds, his physical presence is a determining factor on the diamond.
