Andy Pagés homers in a Dodgers’ win. (+ Cuban MLB Report)

Andy Pagés went yard in one official at-bat,  drove in a run and also scored twice to do his in the Dodgers 9-3 thrashing of Brewers. Although he is hitting a lowly .222 on the spring he still posts a .973 OPS. The Cuban figures to play a role for Los Angeles as a fourth outfielder and a ky bat of the bench.

Orlando Ribalta tossed 1⅓ of scoreless ball in which he fanned three of the four batters he faced in the Nationals’ 3-0 loss to the Astros. The right-hander has struck four batters in 2⅓ innings pitched on the spring. Ribalta debuted last season in MLB with Washington.

Cuban-American Ryan Fernández struck out all three batters he faced during the Cardinals’ 7-0 defeat at the hands of the New York Yankees. The reliever who was a key piece of the St. Louis’ bullpen as well this campaign. Last season Fernández fanned 71 batters in 66⅔ innings, saved two games and posted 12 holds.
