Randy Arozarena swatted his third longball of the season, an eighth inning grand slam and drew a ninth inning bases loaded walk to lead Seattle to a 7-6 win over the Astros. The Cuban slugger saw his average rise to .191 and has knocked in nine runs on the campaign.
Andy Pagés homered for the second straight day in the seventh inning of the Dodgers’ 6-5 win over the Nationals. The outfielder after a slow start is starting to find his stride with the lumber. Pagés is now hitting .171 on the season.
Although Jorge Soler has had a slow start to the season, he has homered in three of his last four games, demonstrating the power the Angels expect. The 33-year-old slugger, who became the first Cuban to hit a home run in a major league game at Steinbrenner Field. The Angels still fell to Tampa 5-4.
Yandy Díaz paced the victors with a homerun of his own, the first of the campaign. The first baseman, who has also started slow with the lumber has now driven in four runs and saw his average rise .174 on the season.
