Andy Pagés goes yard in a Dodgers’ loss. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Andy Pagés went downtown for the first time this season, drove in a run and also scored on the evening to do his part during the Dodgers’ 8-2 loss to Washington. The Cuban broke an early season slump with his two hits on the evening and saw his average rise to .162.

For the Nationals Orlando Ribalta tossed three innings of three-hit, one-run ball and watched his ERA fall to 5.87on the season. The right-hander who fanned three on the day will likely be a reliever that will be used in many capacities this season.

Daysbel Hernandez notched his first victory of the season after pitching 1⅓ innings of shutout ball in relief in which he struck out two, while Raisel Iglesias tossed a scoreless ninth to secure the Braves 7-5 victory over the Phillies and record his first save of the campaign as well.
