Henry Urrutia homers twice in a León victory. (+Mexican League Report)

Henry Urrutia drove in five runs via two longballs, a three-run shot in a second inning and a two-run shot in the fourth inning to lead León to a 17-14 victory over Querétaro. After a slow start to the season the Cuban slugger is now hitting .400.

In a loss Leonys Martín and Yurisbel Gracial combined for five hits, two runs batted in and five runs scored in a loss, while now hitting .545 and .385 respectively for the Conspiradores de Querétaro.

Yadiel Hernández continues to swing a hot bat to start the season. In yesterday’s the outfielder collected a hit in three trips to the plate and knocked in a run, but Dos Laredos fell to Monclova 5-4. The native of Matanzas, Cuba has now driven in two runs on the young campaign.
