Yordan Álvarez knocked in a run in three trips to the plate to do his part in Houston’s 7-0 shutout of the Bluejays. The giant from Las Tunas, Cuba has now driven in 12 runs on the campaign leaving him first on his team in that statistical category.

Daysbel Hernández tossed a scoreless inning in relief to notch his second victory of the campaign during the Braves’ 7-6 win over the Cardinals. The right-hander also saw his ERA descend to 2.70 on the season

Although he gave a homerun in an inning of work, Aroldis Chapman still notched his first hold of the season during Boston’s 4-2 victory over the White Sox. The Cuban left-hander’s earned run average rose to 1.93 on the season.
