Liván Moinelo left the mound on Tuesday without a decision after allowing one run and four hits in seven solid innings of work in the SoftBank Hawks’ 2-1, 10-inning loss to the Nippon Ham Fighters at the Mizuho Pay Pay Dome in Fukuoka. The Pinar del Río native also struck out seven and walked three and watched his ERA fall to 1.95 on the season.
Raidel Martínez allowed a hit in a scoreless inning of work in to notch a hold and contribute to the Yomiuri Giants’ 4-3 victory over the Hiroshima Carp. Marriage has yet to allow a run in 10⅔ innings pitched this season and is third in the Central League with eight saves.
In the KBO Rubén Cárdenas swatted his fourth longball of the season during Kiwoom’s 9-3 loss to the Lotte Giants. The Cuban-American outfielder saw his average rise to .270 and has now driven in 20 runs on the season with the Heroes.
