Yandy Díaz homers twice in a Tampa Bay win. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Yandy Díaz collected three hits in five trips to the plate including solo-shots in the first and fifth innings to pace Tampa Bay in their 14-8 win over the Tigers. The infielder also knocked in two runs and scored twice, while his average also rose to .277 on the season. Díaz also hits .426 over his last 15 games.

Adolis García went yard for the ninth time drove in two runs and scored twice to do his part in the Rangers 6-2 victory over the Pirates. The slugger from Ciego de Ávila, Cuba has now driven in 37 runs on the season. García is also hitting a robust .370 over his last seven games.

Luis Robert Jr slugged his seventh longball of the season, a two-run third inning shot during Chicago’s 7-1 triumph over the Bluejays. For the outfielder it was his first homer in the last 15 games a span in which he hits .227.

Aroldis Chapman notched his 14th save of the season after tossing a scoreless inning in relief during which he fanned two batters in the Red Sox’s 7-5 win over the Giants. The left-hander saw his ERA descend to 1.41 on the season and is now a save short of 3.50 for his career.
