Nick Martínez shines in a Reds win. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Nick Martínez tossed eight innings of one-hit,one-run ball in which he fanned six and walked two to help secure a Cincinnati 8-1 win over the Padres. The Cuban-American righty took a no-hitter into the ninth inning, notched his fifth victory and watched his ERA descend to 4.12 on the season.

Nick Castellanos went yard for the ninth time on the season, a three-run second inning shot to lead the Phillies to a 13-0 thrashing of the Braves. The native of Hialeah Florida is now hitting a solid .282 on the season.

Nolan Arenado collected two hits in four trips to the plate and knocked in two runs via sixth inning double and eighth inning run-scoring single to do his part in their 5-0 shutout of Cleveland. The infielder has now driven in 41 runs on the campaign.
