Miguel Romero made his debut with El Águila de Veracruz tossing six innings of three-hit, three-run ball in which he also fanned four batters and walked one during the team’s 5-4 win over Oaxaca. Romero was lighting up the radar gun with a 95 Mph fastball on the evening.
Although the Conspiradores de Querétaro fell to the Diablos Rojos de México City 12-10, Rusney Castillo swatted his fifth homerun of the season, drove in a run and scored a run. The outfielder also collected three other hits on the day and now hits .315 on the season.
Félix Pérez went yard for the seventh time on the campaign in Campeche’s 10-5 loss to the Olmecas de Tabasco. The slugger from the Isle of Youth has now knocked in 19 runs and hits a solid .262 on the campaign. Pérez also played with Tabasco earlier this year.
