Our sister website Pelota Cubana USA has confirmed that Cuba has two exhibition games scheduled in the United States during Major League Baseball’s Spring Training in preparation for the upcoming World Baseball Classic.
On March 2 and 3, 2026, Cuba will play against two clubs to be determined just before departing for San Juan, Puerto Rico, where they will play in Group A of the World Baseball Classic.
This will be a great opportunity to see the Cuban National Team face MLB squads as a their prime preparation for the most important tournament in international baseball. More official information on opponents and venues is expected in the coming weeks.
In 2023 Cuba had a bunch preparation games that took them across Asia, while also seeing them play games against teams in the NPB and CPBL. The Cuban National Team battled against the Chunichi Dragons, SoftBank Hawks, Nippon-Ham Fighters and the Yakult Swallows. The Antilleans also saw action against the TSG Hawks and the Wei-Chaun Dragons.
