Adolis García homers in a Rangers’ win. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Adolis García went yard for the 14th time on the season, a fourth inning solo-shot. For García it was his only hit in four at-bats during the Rangers’ 6-2 win over the Athletics. The native of Ciego de Ávila, Cuba has now deposited 136 balls in the stands for his career.

Jorge Soler swatted his 11th longball of the season in the four trips to the plate during the second in of the Los Angeles Angels’ 3-2 loss to the Mets. The Cuban slugger who is hitting .216 and has now driven in 34 runs on the season.

Andy Pagés homered for the 19th time on the season, drove in three runs and scored once, but the Dodgers fell to the Twins 10-7. The outfielder who leads all Cubans in the majors with 63 runs batted in also hits .285 on the campaign.
