Aroldis Chapman tossed a scoreless ninth inning in which he fanned a batter to notch he 21st save of the season and help secure the Red Sox’s 8-5 win over the Kansas City Royals. The flamethrowing left-hander saw his earned run average descend to 1.21 on the season and now has 356 saves for his career.

Zach Neto collected a hit in four trips to the plate and drove in a run via sixth inning run-scoring double to do his part in the Angels’ 5-1 victory over the Rays. The Cuban-American shortstop has knocked in 11 runs over his last 16 games and hits .273 on the season.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr swatted two hits in four at-bats and drove in two runs with a first inning single to get the scoring started and another single in the fourth inning during Arizona’s 6-2 triumph over San Diego. The outfielder from Sancti Spíritus, Cuba saw his average rise to .247 and has knocked in 52 runs on the season.
