Yennier Cano tossed a spectacular ninth inning in relief during which he struck out a batter to notch his third win of the season. The Orioles downed the Dodgers 2-1 and the hurler now sports a 1.35 earned run average in his last seven outings.
Raisel Iglesias threw a scoreless ninth inning in relief to secure his 24th save of the season and a Braves’ 4-1 victory over the Mariners. The native of the Isle of Youth is two saves away from 250 for his career and his ERA fell to 3.68 on the season.
Johan Oviedo continues to look excellent coming off a Tommy John surgery. In his fifth start since coming off the injury the right-hander tossed five scoreless innings in which he only surrendered a hit and fanned four. Although he left without a decision the Pirates still fell 5-2 and his ERA descended to 2.70 on the season.
