Yandy Díaz collected two hits in four trips to the plate including a solo-homerun in the first inning of Tampa Bay’s 6-5 loss to the White Sox. For the first baseman it was a career high 23 homeruns and he has now also tied his career high with 78 runs batted in as well.
Zach Neto swatted his 26th homerun of the season in four at-bats, a fourth inning two-run bomb that paced the Angels in their 4-3 win over the Twins. The Cuban-American infielder is five stolen bases and four homeruns from a 30-30 season.
Andy Pagés had three hits in four trips to the rubber, including a second inning double that drove in a run during the Dodgers’ 9-0 blanking of the Rockies. The outfielder also scored twice on the evening and has also driven in 80 runs on the campaign.
