Nick Fortes collected two hits in as many trips to the plate including a top of the ninth inning homerun to make the difference in Tampa’s 5-4 win over the Cubs. The Cuban-American catcher now has five longballs on the campaign.

Andy Pagés swatted two hits in four at-bats and scored a run to do his part in the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 13-7 victory over the San Francisco Giants. The Cuban slugger saw his average rise to .272 and also sports a .768 on the campaign.

Sal Stewart had a three hit day and scored a run during the Cincinnati Reds’ 11-5 loss to the Athletics. The Cuban-American infielder saw his average rise to .250 in his short time in the major leagues. Stewart will be playing winter ball this year in the Dominican Republic with the Leones del Escogido.
