The right-hander from Pinar del Río, Cuba who earned his 12th save in 12 outings, lowered his ERA to 1.23 and reclaimed the Central League’s saves lead.
Liván Moinelo earned his eleventh win of the year after allowing one run and two hits in five complete innings of work during SoftBank’s 11-8 win over the Seibu Lions. His record now stands at 11-3 and his ERA fell to 1.46, securing his position as the leader in that category in the Nippon League.
Moinelo is also third in the Pacific League in wins, second in strikeouts and has three complete games on the campaign. The left-hander 0.94 WHIP and has two shutouts on the season. The hurler has been the dominant foreigner on the mound this year.
