Romy González had two hits in as many trips to the plate and knocked in a run via a seventh inning single, but the Red Sox still fell to the Rays 7-3. The Cuban -American now hits a solid .308 on the season.

Miguel Vargas collected a hit in four trips to the plate and drove in a run via a seventh inning bases loaded walk during Chicago’s 3-2 loss to the Padres. The native of Havana has now knocked in 57 runs on the season.

Nick Martínez notched his 11th win of the season after tossing 2 ⅓ innings of scoreless baseball during Cincinnati’s 1-0 shutout of the Cubs. The Cuban-American righty also fanned a batter on the day and saw his ERA fall to 4.54 on the campaign.
