Yusniel Díaz has signed with the A&F Sports Agency and will now be represented by renown Cuban-American sports agent Gladys Alonso. Several teams from LIDOM, Liga ARCO, and LBPRC are interested in signing the outfielder this winter, for the summer he has signed with Conspiradores de Querétaro of the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol.
The Cuban slugger signed for a $15.5 million bonus with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2015 and reached the Major Leagues with the Baltimore Orioles in 2022. This summer, Díaz played with the Lincoln Saltdogs of the American Association and also played in LIDOM with the Leones del Escogido during the 2020 season.
In 2018 he was part of the Futures Game hitting a pair of homeruns in the contest. Díaz was also the main piece in the trade that sent Manny Machado to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Over his minor league career he slashed .262/.345/.420/.765 with 73 longballs, 333 runs batted in and 50 stolen bases.
In 53 games last season with the Lincoln Saltdogs of the American Association he slashed .253/.330/.429/.760 with nine homeruns and 44 runs batted in and could a big bat for the Mexican’s team lineup, especially after being paired with his countrymen Henry Urrutia. A winter league signing could be imminent for Díaz and expect the outfielder to surprise, especially after an offseason of hard work.
