Sal Stewart homers in a Cincinnati Reds victory. (+Spring Training Report)

Sal Stewart Jr went yard for the first time on the spring in his three trips to the dish. The Cuban-American slugger also scored a run on the day to help Cincinnati secure a 3-2 triumph over the Chicago White Sox. The native of Miami is now hitting .400 in the preseason.

Pedro León drove in a run via a third inning single to do his part in the Phillies’ 5-3 win over the Detroit Tigers. The outfielder also scored a run on the afternoon and is now hitting a solid .333 on the young spring.

Although he walked three batters Johan Oviedo tossed 1⅔ innings of no-hit, no-run ball in which he also fanned a batter after his first outing of the spring in Boston’s 5-3 victory over Minnesota. The hard-throwing righty is in line for a position in the Red Sox’s rotation.

Victor Labrada had a perfect 3-for-3 day with a run scored during the Mariners 8-8 tie with the Kansas City Royals. The Cuban outfielder has looked very good at the plate this year hitting a solid .600. The native of Havana is looking to win a spot with the team this spring.
