This Sunday, it was announced that the Cocodrilos de Matanzas Baseball Club of the Serie Nacional will participate in the third edition of the Baseball Champions League of the Americas, which will once again be held in Mexico from the 24th to the 29th of this month, was announced.
The team will be led by Armando Ferrer and feature four players from the World Baseball Classic, they are Frank Abel Álvarez, Andrys Pérez, Armando Dueñas and Alexei Ramírez. Super prospect Brander Guevara and his supersonic fastball will also be on the roster.
The last edition of the event was won by the Diablos Rojos de México City, with the Leñadores de Las Tunas from Cuba finishing second in the event. The event will once again be held at Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium and feature five teams from the Americas and a representative from Taiwan in a round-robin format, with the top two teams facing off for the championship.
Additionally, the inaugural Baseball Champions League Europe is set for 2026, with group stages in May featuring eight teams from Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, and Czechia, culminating in a Final Four in September.
