The slugger also scored twice is now hitting a robust .480 on the campaign.
Aroldis Chapman tossed a scoreless ninth inning to notch his second save of the season and the 369th of his career in helping the Boston Red Sox secure their 5-2 victory over the San Diego Padres. The flamethrowing left-hander has yet to allow a run on the young season.
Nick Fortes swatted a two-run first inning, his only hit on the day in three at-bats double during Tampa Bay’s 10-4 loss to the Minnesota Twins. The Cuban-American catcher is off two a hot start this season hitting a robust .348 to start the campaign.
Raisel Iglesias saved his first game of the season after tossing a scoreless ninth inning during the Atlanta Braves 2-0 blanking of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The right-hander now has 254 saves in his storied career and has yet to allow an earned run on the young campaign.
