Sal Stewart drives in six in a Reds victory. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Sal Stewart launched a pair of three-run homeruns in the first and second innings of the Cincinnati Reds 8-3 triumph over the San Francisco Giants The Cuban-American accounted for six of the eight of his team’s runs on the evening and is now hitting a solid .333 on the season. Stewart is definitely the early season favorite for the Rookie of the Year in the National League.

Adrián Del Castillo knocked in five runs via a triple, homerun and a groundout to lead Arizona to an 8-5 win over the Orioles in extra-innings. After a slow start with the bat the Cuban-American catcher saw his average rise to .346 ans has homered for the first time on the year.

Yandy Díaz swatted a run-scoring double in his two trips to the plate during the Rays 8-3 win over the Chicago White Sox. The Cuban is hitting a robust .364 over his last 15 games  and has now knocked in 16 runs on the early season.

Yordan Álvarez collected two hits in three official at-bats including his seventh homerun of the season, a solo-shot in the Houston Astros 3-1 victory over the Colorado Rockies. The native of Las Tunas, Cuba hits .333 and has now driven in 17 runs on the campaign.
