Kendry Rojas has been called up to the big leagues. The left-hander from Ciego de Ávila,Cuba receives the call to the best baseball in the world and is on the verge of making his debut. Rojas is #10 prospect in the Twins’ organization.

The flamethrower is the nephew of Serie Nacional legend Yoelvis Fiss. The southpaw is one of the most intriguing young arms in the system. Once activated he will be the 21st Cuban player in MLB in 2026 and the 404th Cuban player in Major League history to be called up to the grand stage.

Rojas made an authoritative season debut at Triple-A earlier this week clearly showcasing his potential. The Minnesota lefty overcame an injury and responded with a solid outing from the mound tossing 2.2 innings allowing one hit, no runs, fanning three and walking one. He clearly demonstrated impeccable control, command, and the ability to induce swings and misses.

But beyond this specific outing, one thing is clear. Kendry Rojas is currently the top Cuban pitching prospect in the minors. A massive step in his career of the young hurler and another story added to the legacy of Cuban baseball in MLB. What kind of impact might Kendry Rojas have upon his arrival in the Major Leagues?
