Sal Stewart knocks in two in a Reds’ win. (+Cuban MLB Report)

Sal Stewart knocked in two runs via a two-run first inning homerun to do his part in Cincinnati’s 6-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. The Cuban-American infielder has now homered eight times on the season and is now tied for the league lead in runs batted in with 21.

Jorge Soler laced a run-scoring single during the first inning to start off the scoring in a Los Angeles Angels 5-2 loss to the Toronto Bluejays. The Cuban slugger saw his average rise to .233 and is now tied for second in the majors leagues with 19 runs batted in on the season.

Anthony Núñez notched his first win in the major leagues after throwing a scoreless inning during which he struck out and walked a batter in Baltimore’s 7-5 win over the Royals. The right-hander now sports a sterling 1.59 earned run average on the season.

Aroldis Chapman tossed ⅔ of inning of scoreless baseball in which he struck out a batter to secure his fourth save of the season during Boston’s 8-6 win over the Detroit Tigers. The flamethrowing left-hander saw his earned run average descend to 1.17 of the season and 371 saves in his storied career.
