Yordan Álvarez knocked in three runs via a fifth inning single and a ninth double during the Astros’ 8-5 loss to Cleveland. The native of Las Tunas, Cuba with those three runs batted in is now tied for the league lead in the statistical category with 24.
Sal Stewart collected two hits in four trips to the plate and drove in three runs via a single in the sixth inning and a sacrifice fly during the Cincinnati Reds 12-6 thrashing of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Cuban-American slugger now hits .299 on the season and now leads MLB in runs batted in with 24.
