The flamethrowing left-hander saved his sixth game on the season and the 373 of his storied career. The Cuban hurler also saw his earned run average descend to 0.93 on the season.
Yandy Díaz swatted his fifth longball of the season, his only hit in two at-bats, on the day a solo-shot in the second inning of the Tampa Bay Rays 3-0 blanking of the Baltimore Orioles. The Cuban slugger now sports a .333 batting average on the season and is second on his team with 21 runs batted in.
Jorge Soler launched his seventh homerun of the season in four trips to the plate, a two-run blast during the first inning of the Angels 4-3 loss to the Mets. The Cuban giant also scored a run and has now knocked in 25 runs on the season to lead the team in that statistical category.
Randy Arozarena went yard for the third time on the season, a solo-homerun and his only his in four at-bats in Seattle’s 7-6 loss to the Kansas City Royals. The outfielder still sports a solid .458 slugging percentage in spite of his minimal amount of homeruns. Arozarena also has seven stolen bases on the season and is coming of five straight 20-20 campaigns.
